Our Story
Jack Bernard and Nazeem Desai’s journey started in 1993. Jack, being one of the first Ocularists in South Africa, had a passion for providing high quality custom-made eye prosthesis to South Africans. Jack fulfilled his role as a supportive mentor to Nazeem Desai, enabling his mentee to continue and build on his life’s work.
The pair of them worked closely over the years and effectively provided high quality custom-made eye prosthesis to their patients. Jack and Nazeem have shared a goal to explore the boundaries around creating comfortable and elaborately designed eye prosthesis for patients in need. Sadly, Jack Bernard passed on in 2013.
